The vineyard of the Lord continually grows, and its demands for evangelization are undisputable. As Capuchin Tertiary Sisters of the Holy Family, we are formed to be attentive to the signs of the times.

The priest, Fr. Javier Cabezas, our religious brother (A Capuchin Tertiary Father of our Lady of Sorrows, we have the same founder, Fr. Luis Amigo) in the chapel where we used to celebrate the mass every day, have sensed the need for a Catholic school, then he shared it to our superior, Sr. Angela Maria Martinez Siera. Same superior, asks a couple, Mr. & Mrs. Hernan Omecillo, what possible mission we can have in the place; they suggested a KINDERGARTEN.

Fray Luis Amigo Academy was thought-out to offer a Christian, human, moral, intellectual formation and a good environment in the best condition possible for the children to develop their skills and talents, to grow in faith and to be an active member of the society.

This mission will not be only for our pupils but for all our stakeholders. We formed them to be our companions/co-journeyer towards the heavenly kingdom.

For our teachers, we cultivate in them the essence of being “Called to Live in order to Teach but not to teach in order Live”.

For the Parents and Guardians of our pupils, we promote a family relationship, having the Family of Nazareth, (Jesus, Mary & Joseph), as our model of life. We are both co-responsible for the integral formation of the kids.

For our pupils, we propose them a different way of learning. We believe that skills and knowledge must be cultivated at the same time. That learning process must not be limited in the four corners of the classroom but also outside. We offered them an alternative way of recreation, promote a Zero Screen lifestyle and toys that are not powered by batteries. The playground is open 24/7 so that our pupils can just come and play. Indeed, the school, through the help of generous individuals and NGOs like Children’s Hope Charities, is equipped with amenities that can fulfill the Mission and Vision of FLAA.

The school offered us a tough work of evangelization. A wide opportunity to work with the family of our pupils and sometimes with their friends too. Yet we believe that with prayers, passion and the generosity of some individuals and NGO’s, the work we have begun will flourish and be fertilized by God.
